Saturday May 23rd will open to the public in the Abbey of Valserena (also know as La Chartreuse de Parme from Stendhal’s novel), the new Museum of CSAC – Study Center and Communication Archive (CSAC) of University of Parma, which houses the most extensive visual cultural archive in Italy about the twentieth century with over 12 million of materials divided into five sections: Art (over 1,700 paintings, 300 sculptures, 17,000 drawings), Photography (with over 300 funds and more than 9 million images), Fashion (with about 70,000 pieces including sketches, drawings, clothes, magazines), Project (1,500,000 drawings, maquettes 800, 2000 items) and Media (7000 sketches of posters, 2,000 film posters, 11,000 drawings and comic satire and 3,000 drawings for illustration).
